1 stars (disappointed) - This program is not user friendly and the cards are not really that funny. 5 stars (great for a laugh) - This program is great! I have an american greeting software that doesn't even come close to this program! I made a humorous card for for my mother that she absolutely LOVED it (getting a smile out of mom's face is a task) The only issue I had was i recieved an error while trying to download it to my system. I called tech support, and was up and running in 5 min. 2 stars (Disappointed) - My opinion is the food plan will work but this book is not laid out well. I found myself going back and forth trying to locate the info I needed. The book refers to info in previous written books which I do not own. This info should be included in this book! The first 4 chapters tend to cover the science aspect of the diet...For me a simple statement would do since I don't have any interest in the rest or even understand most of it to be simply honest. Moving ahead...I did begin the cleanse process, only using 1 of the supplements suggested...(taking herbal la'xs 3 'xs daily is not healthy in my opinion so I chose not to use that portion of the cleanse) I did lose 6.5# my first week. Even though I have had success with the cleanse part of the diet, I am disappointed in the book as a whole. 4 stars (GOOD INFORMATION FOR DETOXING AND FOR CHOOSING WATER) - I LIKED THIS BOOK, I HAVE BEEN STUDYING HEALTH AND NUTRITION FOR OVER 20 YEARS. 5 stars (Stays with you) - This book is one of those little gems that will stay with you for years. I find myself thinking about the ideas and stories in this book several times a year, and I use the title in conversation quite frequently. A must read. 3 stars (OK, but overpriced) - An "interesting" idea of teaching adults by anecdotes and fairy tales... I don't want to be too harsh but I find this book overpriced. I find "Why Some Cats are Rascals" much more interesting. It's loaded with positive energy that bears some traces of influence by writings of David R. Hawkins, the author of "Power vs. Force." It is also much cheaper. 5 stars (This book is worth every penny!!!) - This was an excellent book. A small book with a big message. It helped me to pay close attention to my attempts to avoid change. I have learned through this book that it is just better to accept change and move forward. They also have a kids edition which I will definitely be purchasing for my daughter. 5 stars (School Zone does it again!) - School Zone's Spelling Puzzles CD-Rom is an excellent home teaching aid. It features 30 different spelling worksheets. The program grades the child's work, tracks the child's progress and allows the child to correct answers. The worksheets are interspersed with humorous cartoons of 'cheerleaders' doing victory dances and making encouraging comments. In between worksheets, the child plays one of three computer games. My child became very excited about this program and completed the worksheets at a single sitting. I am duly impressed -- this CD is very well done. School Zone should be proud of itself. The worksheets themselves are very similar to the printed paper worksheets used in first grade classrooms. My son shows almost no interest in the paper worksheets handed out at his school but eagerly attacks School Zone's electronic version. This proves, once again, that inspired packaging and presentation make a difference. 4 stars (Fun program) - This game is really fun. It's not particularly deep, but it gets kids practising spelling and reading in a very exciting (not overstimulating) environment. The game contains sets of 30 worksheets that kids fill in, and they get rewarded with games (that are hard to master, but the challenge is actually motivating). Good, especially for the price, and there's a workbook included with the CD-ROM. ...

Rosetta Stone Hebrew Personal Edition Level 1

5 stars (Works great as a Review) - I studied Hebrew in college for 2 years, so I cannot comment on using this software as the primary way to learn Hebrew. I bought this program because I wanted to review Hebrew and improve my understanding of the language. I found it did just that. It works very well when used as a review for somebody who has already taken some Hebrew classes and is familiar with Hebrew grammar. I can understand Hebrew better than I did in college. I also picked up some new vocabulary. The downside is that you have to repeat drills for each lesson. However, it tends to sink in ratherly naturally after a while. There really is no easy way to learn a foreign language, but I think using this program on a continuous basis does help (at least in improving understanding). This program would greatly complement a beginning Hebrew class if grammar lessons were developed around the software's curriculum. 5 stars (great for learning to understand by hearing and seeing) - I began studying hebrew 2 years ago, but with only occasional classes, I found that I understood very little in conversation. This software helped me begin to do that. It has 8 'chapters', each with 11 or 12 'lessons'. The vocabulary starts out easy and slowly becomes more difficult. At the end, the vocabulary is probably intermediate level. Within each lesson is 10 sets of 4 pictures. A statement is said aloud (there is also an option for reading only), and you click on the appropriate picture. It seems rather simplistic, but it really helps in understanding the language and associating the words and phrases with the actions being depicted. Overall, excellent. Command and Conquer Generals- Zero Hour Expansion Pack

5 stars (pretty darn good) - This is a good expansion pack... the Challenge mode is very cool... you pick the personality of your general, then you pick the personality of the general you want to fight against. When then game begins, you can hear the general from the other team laughing at your mistakes, and he's usually right. Very interesting and fun to play. Don't play this game on a night before you have to go to work, because you will probably lose track of time by having such a blast. But there is a downside... The user interface is still the same old interface that takes up too much space on the screen. And perhaps most annoying: Any time you get a mission report, you have to wait and wait and wait to see the pop-up descriptions when you are trying to chose which unit(s) you want to build. And speaking of waiting... if you want to restart a mission, you have to sit through the introduction video, and you can't skip past it. Hopefully the next version of C&C will fix these oversights. 4 stars (Wonderful endeed but...) - Anyone who bought and enjoyed the original CandC: Generals won't go far wrong doing the same again with this expansion. Your money buys you another 15 single player missions all complete with new units, a `challenge' scenario where you can choose a general that suits your style of play and put him up against 8 others as well as the usual skirmish and multiplay modes. The graphics and sound are excellent, as could be expected from a developer of this pedigree, with the cut scenes giving a truly professional feel to the whole experience. Explosions and animation are superb, I particularly like the way bodies fly through the air as a bunker is blown up, and the screams of anguish as troopers die a painful chemical death never fails to bring a smile (I know, I'm a sick git). 1 stars (Read the Reviews FIRST - ZERO Stars) - I just now read the reviews of this product; unfortunately, I did not read them before I purchased this pathetic program. Basically - false advertising. Does not include anywhere near the number of items indicated on the box and queries to Broderbund indicate the items are no longer available. Save your money - get some crayons! 1 stars (Actually 0 Stars DON'T DO IT!!!!) - I have had Broderbund Home Designer 5.0 for about 4 months now. Three years ago I used 3D Architect Vers. 1.0 to remodel my kitchen and it was great. So, I decided to buy 3D Architect Professional 5.0 to design my Master Suite (converting two BRs and a bath to do it) and remodel my back yard and pool....completely. To begin, all Broderbund architectural products' names are similarly named. I thought the "professional" 5.0 included (and was led to believe by skimming the info on it) the landscape design program. You can even switch to landscape mode but NOTHING happens! After calls to tech support and customer service asking why I can't get to the landscape portion, I (not they) realized I had to buy 3D Home Landscape. So I went to buy it, installed it and went to use the program and still no landscape mode. Long story short...after many frustrating calls and e-mails, I (again me, not they) discovered how the two programs merge together to form one program (if installed in a certain method and order) named yet another program name...3d Home Designer 5.0. Unbelievable! Again, long story short...after limping through a multitude of crashes, letters to tech support and getting answers back e.g., "I don't know, I don't use the program" and countless other frustrating and irritating things, today was the last straw. I opened the program and four months of re-creating my four bedroom tri-level home and yard are gone to waste. As soon as I open the program to do anything, it crashes. I have re-installed and to no avail. BY ALL MEANS, save yourself the frus...

Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3- Battle for Europe

3 stars (Looks fun but it's not.) - The controls are really frigid and it's not very fun. It's so realistic that it's boring. The game will let you fly in virtual reality for hours before reaching a target just as a real fighter pilot would have done except there is a warp feature which will cut the time down. You will still run out of fuel lots of times before you figure out what speeds are appropriate. It's a very complicated game and is not really very fun. There must be better flight simulation games than this. I gave it a 1 on the fun scale, but overall it's a well designed game and is the most realistic I've ever played. 1 stars (lame program) - I had none of the reported loading problems [I run XP], my complaint is about the artwork and design programs.[1]There is no command to layer - "bring to front" or "send to back" - so you have to put things on your project in order [that is,if you decide that your text would look better on a colored background you have to start over]. [2] The supplied art work is the very poorest kind of clip art - just plain crappy looking - and hard to sort through. Why go to all the bother of making projects on the computer if they end up looking like they were made by a none-too-talented third-grader? 2 stars ((2.5) User-friendly but with a caveat) - This is the most cost-effective, user friendly program I have found for designing quick logos, letterheads and brochures, this latest version made more accessible because the extra disks are compacted into one. The program offers a great variety of images on every subject, with more available online (for an additional price). However, the greatest complaint is still unanswered...there is virtually no online help available when contacting Broderbund. If a program isn't backed up by online help, the user must consider this when buying the program in the first place. Of course, when I purchased The Printshop from a discount store, I had no idea of the difficulty in using online resources. On the other hand, the program is quite simple and self-explanatory, so there is little need for extra support. There is an advanced drawing feature that I would like to learn, but the program help does little to guide me through the steps and I cannot navigate anything without some specific direction. Program designers don't seem to be aware of such elementary design flaws, assuming a base knowledge which may not exist. I bought a simple program because of my limited knowledge, expecting a certain degree of guidance through the basics. Broderbund's Printshop offers this assistance, but only to a very limited degree. 5 stars (A good value for the money) - My daughter enjoyed this program. She learned a lot of different words. The animations are clever and she enjoyed completing the spaceship to get Quixel home. This is a good program to build a foreign language vocabulary. 1 stars (Beware!) - I thought this would be good for my students until I tried it out myself. First I tried the Italian. When I discovered that they translated "potato chips" as "microchips", I was surprised. In telling time, they expressed the correct feminine plural but displayed the incorrect masculine singular "il due" for 2:00. Now for the French...I learned that "potato chips" were "eclats" as in "paint chips". Wrong chips both times folks - and good luck in a restaurant! I stopped there. It's a shame they never got a native speaker to check it before releasing this as an educational item. They did get native speakers to read aloud the vocab lists however. That's the one-star part. ...

5 stars (Works with Special Needs Kids) - I was amazed that after only about 2 weeks of playing with this, my 2 year old son was actually able to figure out the games. He has severe language difficulties, sensory issues and behavior problems. Usually he could not sit long enough to play a computer game because there was not enough interaction for him. He loves this game and points to the computer all the time to try to tell me he wants to play. He is actually trying to "count" to 5 with the game and "sing" (in his own gibber-jabber language)some of the songs. There is no exact mouse clicking to frustrate him. Anything close works! This is an awesome game for toddlers to feel like the big kids and not be frustrated. 4 stars (Fun program, nice songs) - It is quite a stretch to call this 'pre-school'. My 4 year old quickly became bored with it, and the math sequence is interminable and goes on for what seems like forever. My 2 1/2 year old took to the challenges more readily, learning mouse skills, colors and shapes, and some basic words. This doesn't attempt to teach reading or the alphabet. The whole story about 'Pirats' (sic) - space faring rats - is rather fun, and my kids really enjoyed the songs 1 stars (Reader Rabbit Kindergarten v1.1) - I couldn't get this to run on my XP machine. The technical support on the web site was useless, and there is no human technical support available for this product. My 5-year-old (who loved RR Baby and Toddler) called it a piece of junk. ...
